We have been working on a book about snuff boxes for a couple of years. Although the format is set, the progress has been slow. There are only a dozen books and the internet for reference with little primary data. We have eliminated gold, jeweled and costly boxes from the contents and are concentrating on snuffs made from common materials. We are not partial to boxes made of porcelain or enamel and have avoided them.
