Glass Top with Reverse Painting Unusual box with a concave glass set into the top that appears to have a gold and black portrait on the back of the glass and painting and varnish on the top. The gentleman was born in 1759 and died in 1806 but I have not been able to identify him. The side of the box is decorated with a rope of hand painted leaves and red berries and the bottom has a splendid eagle with wings spread full on a branch of the berry tree.
